Our Tangible Assets Valuation team within Deals assists clients to make data-driven business decisions by providing commercial insight and technical expertise, backed by well-articulated, rigorous and reasoned analysis to deliver innovative solutions for large and complex tangible asset projects at every stage of the asset lifecycle.
 

We are looking for a Manager to support the delivery of our asset due diligence and valuation services through the analysis of client data, market research, asset inspections, modelling, strategy and roadmaps development, project management and preparation of deliverables and recommendations.

Using the know-how you’ve gained in data analytics, valuations, asset management or accounting, you will support the team to deliver key strategic decision-making analysis, including valuations, pre-deal assessments of capital equipment and asset lifecycle modelling, blending your technical skills and strategy to advise top ASX organisations, not-for-profit companies and private clients with spectacular results.

You’ll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:

  • Asset valuations for mergers & acquisitions, purchase price accounting, fair value reporting, impairment testing, taxation, insurance, finance and other purposes;

  • Conducting physical inspections of plant and equipment, both domestically and internationally;

  • Develop and review valuation models for tangible asset valuations and due diligence processes;

  • Lead meetings and facilitate calls with client management and on-site personnel regarding projects and execution;

  • Accessing a suite of in-house data and analytics tools that provide services such as Fixed Asset Register health audits, Fixed Asset Register rebuilds and CAPEX optimisation.

  • Assist Senior Leadership in initiating client work, preparing proposals, and addressing client inquiries;

  • Support a wide range of capital-intensive industries (e.g., infrastructure, energy, mining, manufacturing, transport, telecommunications, health, utilities, entertainment, etc) for a variety of purposes;

  • Technical capability to develop trusted relationships with the wider PwC team and our clients in a dynamic environment, and mentoring to grow the capability of our Consultants.

About you

You will have a background in Corporate Finance, Accounting or Engineering (or equivalent STEM discipline), combined with a Business/Commerce degree. Your experience will bring a different way of thinking, together with strong analytical skills and the ability to display innovative data analytics capabilities. Your business experience/interest will help you engage with clients and provide meaningful insights into the state of business and its value.

 

Proven expertise and substantial experience in performing plant and equipment valuation will see you fit right in.
 

Your strong communication, analytical and organisational skills will help our clients get where they want to be; realising value from tangible assets. Being a problem-solver by nature and collaborative in your approach, you will thrive in an innovative environment!

Membership or eligibility for membership in relevant professional bodies such as the American Society of Appraisers, the Australian Property Institute, or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors as well as a completed Practicing Valuer Certification or similar credentials are preferred.

 

Knowledge and experience with software suites will be considered favourably e.g. Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as ETL and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Python and Tableau.
